Field trip

Today has been a great day for weather so today we took Shelby over to the field and played football and did some running. By the end of it not only Shelby was knackered we all were.

All knackered after playing football

Me jumping Shelby's rope before she takes out my legs

So this evening I went to the cinema and watch 'Attack the block'. I thought it was going to be rubbish but I am surprised to say it was a really good film that had me in barrels of laughs.
It is basically about a South London gang that have to defend their block by an alien invasion. It is features Nick Frost, Jodie Whittaker, Luke Treadaway and John Boyega.

Quotes

Sam : We should call the police

Pest : You'd b better of calling the ghost busters love

Let the fun times begin!!!!

I am on holiday now for the next nine days. I haven't got much planned but am looking forward to relaxing with my family. Also I need to get packed and sorted for my Disneyland mini holiday which is fast approaching.

The music I can't stop listening to is Ed Sheeran EP You need me, it is amazing. If you haven't heard it check it out you won't be disappointed

And finally Temple cloud - One big family (which is featured on the KFC advert) again if you haven't heard it check it out, it is one of them songs that you can just listen to over and over and can't resist singing along with.

TV to check out
Now when I joined Lovefilm I rented out the Point Pleasant boxset, now I know it is quite an old series however I never had chance to watch it. But now I have had chance each episode has had me more and more hooked. It was originally aired in 2005 staring Elisabeth Harnois and the hotness Sam Page. Elisabeth Harnois plays Christina the daughter of Satan, she washes up on the beach at Point Pleasant being rescued by Jesse (Sam Page). Jesse and Christina are drawn together and fall in love believing it is their destiny to be together however they soon discover that they are destined but not to be together Jesse' destiny is to kill Christina and Christina's is to unleash hell on earth.
But when I got to the final episode and it ended I was sad for it to be finished and find out that it was originally cancelled and not due to ever make any more. I can never understand when you get a good series and then it gets cancelled and you get left with an open ending. It is the same for series like Firefly, Lost world and Hex I really got into them and wasted my time watching them to only be disappointed by an ending cut short and loads of questions unanswered. OK so rant over, check it out if you haven't seen it, even though it has a not so great ending there are some fantastic episodes throughout the series

Week flown by

So I have one more day at work and then I am holiday, I can't wait. (Also I only have 21 days till Disneyland!)
I haven't really done much this week apart from work. Although yesterday when pulling out of the car park at work I had smoke coming out of my steering wheel :( Luckily I managed to reverse back in to the car park and turn of my car and the smoke stopped. In luck my good friend was just walking to her car and she followed me home in her car to make sure mine didn't explode. So £110 later my car will be fixed on saturday - new indicator arm and new relay switch.

I have finally had the next stage of my right leg tattoo done :)

Pirates of the Caribbean - On stranger tides

Pirates of the Caribbean - On Stranger Tides

So this afternoon I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean - On stranger tides, I was so looking forward to seeing this so I was really annoyed when I dozed off in the first half an hour of the film, I don't know why I did because the film was great, must have been the late night I had last night. When I first heard about the new Pirates I thought what the hell where is Kiera Knightley and Orlando Bloom the film will be nothing without the original cast. However I take back what I said because the film was amazing, the chemistry between Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz was just perfect. For action wise I feel this is the best one yet the Mermaid battle scene is fantastic. I will definitely be going back to watch it again. A must see!!!!

So while waiting for Pirates of the Caribbean we had loads of advert and I must say being a person who loves adverts, the new Relentless advert is fab. check it out:

And the new cadbury advert is great featuring the fab song - We don't have to take your clothes off by Jermaine Stewart

Hope everyone is having a great weekend :)

Ok I will admit it I am a GLEEK :)

So this week seems to be flying past, I haven't really achieved much but have been mega busy at work. Only one more week and I have a week off, I am still wondering what I can get up to for mini adventures :)

Now I haven't had chance to go to the cinema this week but I did sneakily buy Glee season one, even though I gave my friend hell for being a gleek. But I will admit it I am totally HOOKED! I love it.

Shelby
So Miss Shelby seems to be a little rebellious this week, first off the other morning my mom went downstairs in the morning to find Shelby's bed upside down and the bottom fabric layer ripped out and in millions of pieces on the floor, why on earth she did it I don't know. Then last night I was laying in bed and about 1am Shelby decided to go and lay against the baby gate in our kitchen and knocked it over making a horrendous noise scaring her and me in the process. She has destroyed a few of my mom's solar lights in the garden and she is completely obsessed with the watering can.

How can I stay mad when she looks so cute :)

I also joined Love film this week and once I had signed up and started browsing through the films I realised there are not many new release films I haven't seen, if you can recommend any good films for me to rent please do.

Tattoo!

So I have been busy this weekend, I have had the second session of tattooing on my right leg done. I was going to have it done all in one hit but after two hours OMG my leg was killing me! So all I had done was my flowers in the beautiful magenta colour and the love heart recoloured. All that needs to be finished is the vines in a dark green.

Now for the rest of the weekend - Yesterday I visited my grandparents and they are all doing well, and today I am having a movie day with my family.

London Film and Comic Con

OMG last night it was announced that Karen Gillan will be attending the London film and comic con on the 9th July 2011, to say we are excited is an understatement. My best friend Nicola and myself will be attending on the 9th to grab our autographs and photos.
Fingers crossed they could get Matt Smith to attend and that would be, well words can't describe how awesome it would be :)

Check out the site to see who else is coming this year, there are some fab people attending

I will be counting down the days till we go, it is going to be one hell of an adventure :)

Water for Elephants

So last night I went to the cinema with my fab friend Clare and we watched 'Water for elephants' and it is pure beauty.

Starring the eye candy Robert Pattison and fabulous Reese Witherspoon. Pattison a veterinary student from Cornell university who's parents are killed in a tragic car accident causing him to drop out of his final exam in turn he looses everything and sets off in search for work in the nearest city, but fate lands him on a train as a stowaway. The train is home to the travelling circus of the 'Benzini Brothers' where Pattison character Jacob finds a job as their vet, throughout the film you not only see but can feel the tension between the two characters of Pattison and Witherspoon hoping they both get together and get the happy ending they deserve.
This film is a must see, it is simply magnificent, it is full of drama, tension and romance. I will admit there were a few parts that brought a tear to my eyes, you will not be disappointed if you go and see this.

Life

Saw this on line and I love it
Life is too short people say you are crazy when you have a list of dreams but it is them who are crazy because they are wasting their life plodding along as in us dreamers will grasp any chance we can take to live and try new things. So next time an oppurtunity comes your way don't waste it, take it.

Saturday 7 May 2011

Finally it is the weekend!

So far I had my haircut this morning and then straight after I got my new tattoo and I love it. I am thinking once I get both leg tattoos coloured in that is it for a while as I seem to be addicted :)

1st May 2011 - Bluebell Walk

Today was the big day, it was the bluebell walk and what a fantastic day for weather. It was beautiful not to hot but not to chilly, although I think I did catch the sun a bit but none the less I will not tan, I never do.
My very good friend Clare and myself set off at 8.30am to Harrietsham in Kent to tackle the 8.5 miles walk throughout the country side. In total it took us about 2 hours to complete which was really good as again each year of doing this walk my time gets better and better. All in all it was a great morning out we finally managed to have a good natter and catch up (between trying to breath while walking up steep hills) plus we had a lovely ploughman's waiting for us when we got back to the registration centre and a sneaky ice cream with two flakes on the way back to the car.
If you have never done the bluebell walk and would like to take part I recommend it - next year it takes place on the 6th May 2012
