Work Work and more Work and a little bit of Play :)

Ok so I have been mega busy at work lately but I have still had a little time to have some adventures, because we had a little bit of hassle at Thorpe Park we were given two free tickets of our choice so we picked London Dungeons, now I was a little scared about going as I am not a fan of wax works and mannequins (I know crazy phobia). Anyway we went and I really enjoyed it I was a little disappointed that it wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be but I loved the rides.

After the dungeons we caught a bus and went over to the London sea-life aquarium and I wasn't really expecting much as I have been to other sea-life centres and they have not been great, but I wasn't disappointed we were there just over two hours and it was amazing. We saw penguins, amazing variations of fish and SHARKS I love sharks they are one of the most graceful creatures ever.

Keep checking back for more adventures, I have loads coming up soon - Racing/camping, EMS and the long awaited Hallowhedon :)

Thorpe Park

So I went to Thorpe Park for my cousins birthday and it was really good day apart from typical British weather raining all day and a few rides that my brother couldn't fit on but we had a blast on all the water rides
Loggers Leap - awesome ride we shot down there like a torpedo

Rumba Rapids - we got a little bit wet :)

Tidal Wave - We got drenched but it was fun

This ride is amazing once you get over the first part

#LFCC

So LFCC came and went so quickly, it was by far one of the best conventions I have ever been to, I had a blast. I went with my best friend Nicola and we met some amazing guests and finally meet the awesome friends we had made through twitter.

On the preview night we managed to meet most of the guest we wanted and actually got loads of time with them and over the table photos. I met Chris Parker, who was amazing he sat the same side the table as all the visitors and really interacted with people. We then went and met Danielle Harris who was really sweet. Our next stop was Jewel Staite and Adam Baldwin, there were both great, Jewel is beautiful and plus twice she has tweeted Nicola which I am mega jealous with.
The other guest we got to see was Holly Marie Combs she was very sweet and the hotness Thomas Dekkar

Craig Parker

Thomas Dekkar
On the Saturday we had a bit of a crazy start we were pushed from queue to queue and we ended up being herded around like cattle. But once inside it again was a made rush of hunting through stalls, overlapping photo shoots and trying to hunt down people that we had met on twitter and from previous cons.

We came across a couple of guys with Lego heads and asked if they would let me take a photo of them but one better they let us wear them and put them on. :) There were so many amazing costumes this year, I am really thinking in October when I go to EMS I might dress up on a day that I don't have any photo shoots.

On Sunday we were a little sad that it was the last day and we would be saying goodbye to everyone we met. We were joined by my brother and his fiance and we mainly hunted around stalls and had our last few photo shoots. I got to see Anthony Head again and he was just as amazing as when I saw him in October.

Where is this year going

So I cannot believe we are already in June, how this year is flying past but there is so much I am looking forward to, LFCC, hallowhedon, Micheal McIntyre and hopefully Harry potter tour.

Recently I have been going to the cinema with my best bud Nicola at least once a week which is good as we both had a spell of not going and didn't really like it much but now we are addicted again. Last night we watched Snow white and the huntsman it is amazing I had heard a lot of mixed reviews but I was glued to the screen from start to finish. Chris Hemsworth and Kristen Stewart were brilliant I know a lot of people that say she acts the same in everything that she is wooden, but I think she is awesome.  Also Charlize Theron was epic she seem to have disappeared from our screens for a little while but has come back in two great film not only in this but also in Prometheus which we watched the previous night which was equally as good but did leave a few unanswered questions, also another great performance from Noomi Rapace who I think is amazing even more with each film she does. So if you are heading to the cinema check out both of these films you will not be disappointed.

Other things going on I am on holiday this week and to be honest I haven't really done much but I am off to London tomorrow with Nicola to hunt down some comic and graphic novel shops and M&M world, then Friday I am participating in a Zumbathon charity event for cancer research. So check back to find out how I get on........

Zumbathon

So I know this is my second charity event so far this year and it won't be my last, this time I am participating in a two hour Zumbathon for Cancer research.

Now everyone at some point of their life will be effected by Cancer, either by experiencing it themselves or watching a loved one battle through it. Having watched family members and friends battle against this some lost and some triumph I want to raise as much money and awareness to hopefully one day researchers can make cancer a thing of the past

Good times to come :)

I haven't blogged in a while but to be honest I haven't really been up to much, I recently joined the gym to get in to shape and I am really enjoying it, especially power hoop, leg bums and tum, swimming and the sauna :)

I had a week off at the end of March and I went comic shopping with Nicola and we had a great day, we hit subway and the range which is now my new favourite shop, it has everything you could ever want in it. I spent most of my week at the gym, with friends and spending time with my family.

I actually picked the best week off because I had amazing weather, so one day my mum and I went to a nearby lake and took Shelby out for an outing.

Even though I had an amazing week off when I went back to work as usual I ended up ill and the last few days I have been laid up with a kidney infection and when I say I am bored I mean I cannot wait to get better so I can go to work, go to the gym and go and see Titanic in 3d!!!!
My last seven day's has consisted of scary ambulance ride to hospital at 2am, doctors, sleep more sleep and even more sleep but with my second round of antibiotics I am feeling better and fingers crossed back to work Friday.

I actually have loads to look forward to in the next few months, it is my best friends birthday and we are hitting Brighton on Tuesday then at the weekend she is dragging me clubbing (yes I am twenty four and have never been clubbing) so that will be a new experience but I am looking forward to it.

Then there is LFCC in July again I am spending three days in London with my best friend and hopefully get to see all the fab friends we have made from Hallowhedon and twitter it is going to be awesome.

I also recently have become hooked on Glee, I used to give my friend grieve over it that she was a gleek, but now I have given it a chance my mum and me are hooked on it so I apologise to her as I am now a fellow gleek :)

Stay tuned for more adventures xoxo

But overall all I am loving life at the mo we have had quite a bit of bad stuff going on but that is nothing really new and I know I sound like a complete geek but I am loving work I feel I have finally settled in and enjoying it.
I am so excited though me and my good friend Nicola have just booked our tickets and hotel for London film and comic con and Hallowhedon 4 :)

SNOW

Now I am one of them people that is a big kid when it comes to SNOW, I love it. When I woke up Sunday morning we had loads of snow, however my luck as usual I had to work so I had a nice hour long trek with my friend to get there (I moan but I actually enjoyed it being out in the fresh air and managing to have a good natter with my friend)

Making the most of day's off :)

So quick recap on this week, I have been busy with work but now my shifts have changed I get a days off in week so I had tuesday off and first thing we took Shelby to the vets for her yearly booster then we headed down to the beach, I know it sounds crazy as it has been crazily cold weather this week but surprising it was really nice down there. We spent a couple of hours watching Shelby run around and trying to run from the ocean but then she got used to it and wouldn't get out.

Wednesday I went to Canterbury to the Marlowe Theatre to see Cinderella, I went with my amazing friend Nicola and her fab new friend Lina who I only met that evening she is down visiting Nicola from America, it was nice to finally meet as I had so much about her from Nicola. It has been ages since I been to see a panto but I was not disappointed it was awesome, I laughed the whole way through it and the cast were great John Partridge who played Prince Charming was my favorite not only is he hot but he has an amazing voice.

This weekend I have had off as well so yesterday I spent the day relaxing and catching up on tv and went for a lovely walk with Shelby and my ma through the woods.

Today I went to see the new Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol and I was a little unsure what it was going to be like I wasn't keen the on the third one so wasn't hoping for much with this one but I was surprised it was really good. It was rammed packed full of action and had a really good plot, plus it had the one and only Simon Pegg who I love :) I also love the fact that the Dubai scene Tom Cruise does all his own stunts I really hate watching a film and I know effect have come a long way but when they use a stunt double you can always tell. So if you haven't seen it check it out, you will not be disappointed :)

2 more crossed off my bucket list

Today I managed to cross two more activities off my bucket list and they were paint balling and archery. I went with two of my good friends Albertine and Andrew, we had an awesome day even though we got some war wounds. Out of the three of us poor Albertine come off worse she got hit in the head, chest and neck, I didn't come off to bad few shots to the knee, leg (thanks to Andrew although his legs were shot to pieces by the end of our sixth game). On our last game I only had a few balls left so thought I would really go for it, I tried to get closer and make my balls count however with a water logged field I managed to slip fall forward and got shot in head, shoulder and side, so I ended up huddled behind some tyres trying to hit the other team and I am pretty sure I hit the Marshall instead seems as I suddenly heard, 'You in the far corner, don't blind shoot!' oops my bad :)
After paint balling we were filthy but we decided to go and play a round of Archery, we had 40 arrows each and shot the hell out of the target course. After lunch we headed home and we had a really great day out.

Now I know I haven't update on Shelby for ages so here goes, she is now over a year old, and huge I can't believe how much she has grown since we first got her. She was spoilt rotten at Christmas everyone in the family brought her a present so she ended up with more then us kids.
She was a little poorly this morning but she has perked up as the day has gone on, now she is in the land of nod in her bed

Supermarket Sweep

So I had today off and I didn't really do much during the day apart from bit of exercise for my new healthy living and went to tesco to get some odd bits. I then spent some time catching up on TV that I had missed this past week then a quick nap before I headed out to have dinner with my best friend Nicola and we went to table table which is a newish bar/restaurant.
It was dead quiet in there so we managed to get a good table and had a lovely meal while we caught up on loads of gossip and planning new adventures for the year.
As of late we seem to be obsessed with supermarkets so we headed down to our local Tesco and spent ages looking around for some crazy awesome bits
