What a Year!

So it has been a while since I last blogged and let me tell you it has been one hell of a year! There have been many highs and quite a few lows.

This year has taught me a lot of life lessons, the true meaning of friendship, the true value of family and do what makes you happy and not what other people want.

Firstly the biggest shock of our year was my brother was diagnosed with cancer in February, this turned our whole world upside down. You don't realise how much you take for granted and how lucky we are until you are faced with a situation like this. To say this changed my whole outlook on life and the way I treat everyday and everyone is a understatement, I realised just how precious life is and whenever we say oh we will get around to calling that person or doing something, get up and do it! You never know when it is your last day on this earth.  As the month' drew on receiving chemo and three major operations my brother become the strongest person in my eyes, he fought everyday to kick cancer in the butt and he did. After his third operation and seven long month we were told that my brother was now cancer free but would be due regular check ups for the next 5 years. We felt like we could breath again, we know there is a chance it could come back but for now we are making the most of the life we have.

I got offered what I thought was a perfect job opportunity and made that leap thinking nothing ventured and nothing gained and it didn't turn out for the best as it fell through within two days. For a few days I wanted to curl up and wallow but this year taught me that you need to keep moving forward and keep your head high and now I am on my second month in my new job and I couldn't be happier, I now work for an amazing company and the nicest people I have ever met and I am thankful for the opportunity given to me.

I have had a few amazing adventures with my friends and they have what helped me get through this year. Without them I don't honestly think I would have made it, but I am thankful for having them in my life and I am looking forward to many more next year.

I've learned a lot this year and plan to make the most of the 2015, I already have a few things in the pipeline with days out and conventions and it is going to be an EPIC year!

Stay tuned for adventures in January!!
